Over 60 Years of Unconditional Giving
The Peace Arch Hospital Auxiliary was organized in 1948 to help raise funds for the building of a hospital in White Rock. The Auxiliary became a separate society under the Societies Act in April 1998. For over 60 years, the Auxiliary members have volunteered time and effort to help their community hospital, raising funds for equipment and bringing smiles to patients and Extended Care residents.

Outline of the Auxiliary
- There are over 400 members, divided into 18 groups, each with their own executive.
- Each group meets monthly to plan its own fundraising and social activities.
- The elected officers on the Auxiliary Executive meet monthly.
Where you’ll find our Volunteers in the Hospital
- Operating our Gift Shop in the main hospital lobby.
- Helping in the Emergency Room, X-ray department, Extended Care facilities and the Information desk.
- Hosting monthly birthday parties in the Extended Care facilities.
- Providing professional flower arrangements and hand knitted items for sale in the Gift Shop.
- Operating the Gift Cart in all areas of the hospital.

Hours of operation:
Tuesday – Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. - Sponsorship of the Junior Auxiliary Program (formerly Candystripers and Cadets) for local high school students.
- Bursary program for local high school students pursuing a career in the medical field.
- Annual “Mother’s Day Garden Tour at the Glades.”
- Monthly newspaper column in the Peace Arch News.
